Upon listening to the citizens of Roanoke, it is no secret what is most important. Many are employed but aren't earning enough to make ends meet. The "Star City" is the hub of an asset-filled region; filled with resources and talents. We must utilize these and, alongside our neighbors, work to tell the Story of Roanoke to drive business here.
EDUCATION
Sam believes that it is the responsibility of everyone to participate in our education system. It is essential to bring all community resources together – public and private – to ensure that every child comes to school ready to learn and that each receives a high quality public education.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
With an extensive background in finance as CFO and a small business owner, Sam knows what it takes to balance a budget. With less assistance coming from Washington and Richmond, Sam believes we need to watch every tax dollar to protect the jobs of our teachers and first responders.
